I counted up all the entries and used an online random number generator to give me my winning number.
The 28th entry (and the winner-winner-chicken-dinner) was from:

Trisha, I just want to say thank you for getting me on the road to being a more dedicated runner and not finding excuses to not do something positive every day.
Last year sometime, you posted up a 30 day running challenge. I took up the challenge and continued running at least a mile every day past the 30. I began June 4 of 2012 and yesterday completed a full year. And all with either VFF’s or Trail Gloves. Along the way I went from overly-fluffy to fluffy.
Last month I began a real training program for the Salinas Valley Half Marathon in August and I have been able to finally run longer (for me) distances non-stop. For about a month now, I’ve been doing an 8 mile long run every weekend. I haven’t been able to do that since I was in high school over 20 years ago.
I know we don’t get knarly weather here on the Monterey Bay Area, but there were days that were difficult to get out for one reason or other. By the end of the run I was glad I went out.
It’s the end of the run I look forward to. Not because It’s over, but because I just did something I never thought I’d do (but sometimes cause I want it over).
Thanks again Trisha. I just wanna keep going until I can’t.

Oh my gosh, that’s just about the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, GD! I am totally speechless. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me all of that. I must admit I never kept up the running streak after that 30 day thing, but your story inspires me all over again! I wish you many more years of running streaks and goals met. Thanks again as always for reading!
